Peg

year 3 (design practice 2 _ part 1)
Project Overview
Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, a procedure in which a flexible feeding tube is placed through the abdominal wall and into the stomach

redesigning the PEG tube placed inside human body with a layer of bio-plasic covering the tube, metal stent that help to hold the shape of tube within the body and a feeding tube that can be replaced.starting to find the pattern of stent, I looked into origami pattern, find the jointing point and folding lines to create my own pattern, however with the pattern I developed from origami isn’t stable enough to support the PEG feeding tube and is difficult to remove from body.therefore I looked into stent made with knitting technique, which would fit my proposal
