Project Overview
This is a 20 storey building located above a disused railway line at Camden town with a main core supporting the whole building from ground level, .............
The primary structure consists of reinforced concrete slabs spanning between horizontal beams supported by concrete columns and walls. Overall stability is provided by a series of reinforced concrete shear walls. The proposed structural layout is shown in plan view and a 3D axonometric diagram.
Design of units is separated from the main structure, units attached to the main core with beams at the corner, braces are added into solid walls to increase the stability of the steel frame. Light weight concrete is used for solid walls in units, to reduce the weight of pods.
